Augusta pedestrian hurt in Capital Shopping Center accident Saturday
AUGUSTA — A 56-year-old Augusta woman suffered minor injuries after being struck by a motor vehicle while crossing the parking lot toward the Dollar Tree store, in the Capital Shopping Center on Western Avenue, on Saturday morning, according to Augusta police Lt. Kevin Lully.
The driver, a 44-year-old Manchester woman, didn’t see the pedestrian while heading east in the parking lot, Lully said.
The pedestrian was taken to MaineGeneral Medical Center with complaints of torso and shoulder injuries and was released later that day.
Lully said no charges are pending.
