Augusta pedestrian hurt in Capital Shopping Center accident Saturday

AUGUSTA — A 56-year-old Augusta woman suffered minor injuries after being struck by a motor vehicle while crossing the parking lot toward the Dollar Tree store, in the Capital Shopping Center on Western Avenue, on Saturday morning, according to Augusta police Lt. Kevin Lully.

The driver, a 44-year-old Manchester woman, didn't see the pedestrian while heading east in the parking lot, Lully said.

The pedestrian was taken to MaineGeneral Medical Center with complaints of torso and shoulder injuries and was released later that day.

Lully said no charges are pending.

2:18 p.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported at the Cumberland Farms convenience store on Mount Vernon Avenue.

2:27 p.m., harassment was reported on Sewall Street.

3:18 p.m., a restraining order was served on Ryan Court.

3:26 p.m., a restraining order was served on Sewall Street.

3:51 p.m., a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Western Avenue and Senator Way.

7:24 p.m., a past burglary was reported on West River Road.

7:32 p.m., counterfeiting was reported at Damon's Beverage Barn on Bangor Street.

8:06 p.m., harassment was reported on Crosby Street.

10:49 p.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported at Game On Cafe on Water Street.

At 12:18 a.m., child abuse was reported at the Augusta Police Department on Union Street.

1:08 a.m., a 21-year-old Mount Vernon man was summonsed on a charge of operating under the influence by police making a motor vehicle stop on Calumet Bridge.

2:43 a.m., disorderly conduct was reported at Riverview Apartments on Penobscot Street.

7:55 a.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported on South Belfast Avenue and Church Hill Road.

9:59 a.m., a fire alarm was reported at Motel 6 on Edison Drive.

12:59 p.m., harassment was reported on Lees Court.

1:52 p.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported on Airport Road and Western Avenue.

2:20 p.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported on Riverside Drive and Route 3.

3:19 p.m., traffic complaints were reported on Memorial Bridge.

3:31 p.m., harassment was reported on Eastern Avenue.
