A 2010 Toyota pickup being driven south on Waldoboro Road by a 72-year-old Jefferson woman drifted into the northbound lane when the driver tried to pick up papers that had fallen from the sun visor onto the floor. A 50-year-old Augusta man, who was driving his 2004 Dodge pickup north, saw the drifting vehicle and turned right, into a snowbank, to avoid the crash, but the Toyota hit the Dodge.

Anette Roberge, 45, of Dresden, was arrested on a charge of operating under the influence by police responding to a single-vehicle crash on Cedar Grove Road. Police say Roberge was driving her 2010 Hyundai sport utility vehicle south when she went across the center line and off the road. The SUV went over an embankment and hit several small trees.
