Brass knuckles inflict cut during assault
AUGUSTA — A 19-year-old city man was injured around 1:40 p.m. Saturday on North Street Place during an aggravated assault in which the aggressor used brass knuckles, police said.
The victim suffered a cut on his left cheek but did not require immediate medical treatment, Augusta Police Lt. Kevin Lully said. Police want to question another 19-year-old man who left the scene after the incident, he said.
At 4:14 p.m., shoplifting was reported at the Hannaford supermarket on Cony Street.

At 1 a.m., Troy J. Severance, 33, of Augusta, was arrested on a warrant following a report of an assault on Civic Center Drive.
At 5:43 p.m., Robert O. Baker Jr., 47, of Monmouth, was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of drugs and unlawful trafficking of drugs.
