At 4:09 p.m., there was an accident at the intersection of Winthrop and Second streets.
Two men, ages 37 and 21, were charged with cultivating marijuana and possession of marijuana by police responding to a report of a marijuana grow in Litchfield. Police found 9 marijuana plants and confiscated a usable amount of marijuana.
Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute. The caller said her boyfriend had assaulted her and was in the house with the couple's six week old son. The woman later left with the baby, but a police report said nobody was charged because of a lack of physical evidence and conflicting testimony. The case was sent to the district attorney's office.
There was a report of 300 feet of four-gage welding wire being stolen. The investigation is ongoing.
