GREENE — A young boy died Wednesday after he was struck by a plow truck being driven by his father.

Nathan Capponi, 6, died at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said in a release.

The child was rushed to the hospital by ambulance from his Quaker Ridge Road home around 6:45 a.m. after he was hit by the pickup truck being driven by his father, 36-year-old Kevin Capponi.

“The boy was on a scooter playing in his driveway as his father was backing up the truck,” McCausland said in the release.

Kevin Capponi was nearly done plowing his driveway when the accident occurred, McCausland said.
