BOWDOINHAM — A 20-year-old woman traveling south on Post Road lost control of her car just before noon Monday and skidded sideways into a tree.

The accident occurred in the vicinity of 253 Post Road (Route 138). The woman, who was driving a 2008 Mercury Milan, drove around a corner where snow was blowing into the road when she lost control, according to Cpl. Aaron Skolfield of the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Department.

The driver was treated at the scene, then taken by ambulance to Mid Coast Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
