AUGUSTA — Gov. Paul LePage and his wife, Ann, are opening up the Blaine House for a food drive for the second straight year to help needy Mainers put food on the table.
The food drive kicks off Saturday and will continue the following two Saturdays.
People are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to the governor's residence between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The food will be donated to the Good Shepherd Food-Bank at the end of the three-week drive.
People who donate will get a tour of the Blaine House, enjoy light refreshments and meet the governor and his wife.
