AUGUSTA — City police said late Wednesday night they were investigating a suspicious death at an apartment on Crosby Street.
Deputy Chief Jared Mills of the Augusta Police Department said one person was found dead following a report at about 8 p.m. Police would not say whether the person was a man or woman.
Another person was taken by ambulance from the apartment to the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta.
Crosby Street was closed to the public while police investigated the death. Maine State Police were also on scene assisting Augusta police.
Mills said no arrests had been made, but there was no threat to the public.
