AUGUSTA — An Augusta man is recovering at a Lewiston hospital after being hit by a car on Western Avenue.

Ricky Page, 40, was listed in good condition Tuesday at Central Maine Medical Center, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

Page was taken to the hospital by ambulance around 3:30, Monday, after he was struck by a car on Western Avenue, said Augusta Police Sgt. Mark Desjardin. Page suffered bruises and a possible head injury, Desjardin said.

Page was crossing Western Avenue from north to south when he was hit a west-bound 2010 Chevy four door car being driven by Richard Minoty, 68, of Belgrade, Desjardin said.

There are no charges connected to the accident.

Later Monday, two other pedestrians were struck by a motorist as they crossed Bangor Street.
