ACADIA NATIONAL PARK — In an annual rite of spring, Acadia National Park has announced the opening date of the Park Loop Road and one of its visitor centers.
Park officials say the loop road and the Hulls Cove Visitor Center will open on Sunday. In addition, the park says the Sand Beach entrance station on the loop road will open May 1.
All hiking trails are open except for two where peregrine falcons are nesting, and all carriage roads are open for walking and bicycling.
