Tadpole Patrol has openings

The Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed has announced the remaining openings for Tadpole Patrol, a summertime program that teaches children in second-12th grade about lake ecosystem and how to test water quality.

The following dates are available: Aug. 26 and 27 on Cobbossee Lake; Thursday and Friday and Aug. 20 on Maranacook Lake; Aug. 5 on Tacoma Lakes; Aug. 6 on Cobbossee Stream; and Aug. 7 on Cochnewagon Pond.

Held aboard the OTTER II, a 22-foot pontoon boat, children in second-12th grade will learn about water quality testing and sampling.

The cost is $15 per two-three hour session. For more information, call 621-4100.
