Spring Nature Day Camp set for April vacation week

EAST WINTHROP -- The Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed's sixth annual Spring Nature Day Camp will be held during April school vacation week -- April 16-19 -- at the YMCA Camp of Maine on Cobbossee Lake.

Two two-day sessions, on April 16 and 17 and April 18 and 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, will be offered. There will be indoor and outdoor activities that focus on the natural world, including geocaching, fishing, hiking and exploring pond, stream and forest habitats. Ryan Burton of the Cobbossee Watershed District will lead a fishing trip on Lake Cobbosseecontee.

Children in third through fifth grade are welcome.

The cost is $75 per child per session and includes all equipment and afternoon snack. Space is limited and early registration is recommended.
