Society offers scholarships

The Maine State Society Foundation of Washington, D.C., is offering scholarships to Maine college students.

Applicants must have completed at least one year at a Maine college or university. Scholarship awards are in the amount of at least $1,000.

Applications are available at the financial aid offices at Maine colleges; by visiting www.mainestatesociety.org; or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Maine State Society Foundation, 3508 Wilson St., Fairfax, VA 22030. Applications must be postmarked not later than April 1.
