AUGUSTA — A concert to benefit homeless veterans is set for noon Sunday, Sept. 22, at the Augusta Elks Lodge on Civic Center Drive.

The concert will feature entertainment by Debbie Myers with special guests Denny Breau, Joan Kennedy, Frank Coffin and Malinda Liberty, Chris Fyle, Fred “Tommy” Thompson, Mainely Country Band, Bob Elston, Brenda Millett, The Higgins Family, Peter Allen and Hurricane Mountain and more.

All funds raised will help pay for the annual “stand down” event for homeless veterans held at the VA Maine Healthcare System at Togus in October.

Tickets for the fundraiser cost $10 in advance, $12 at the door and $5 for children younger than 16. Tickets can be purchased at Jack’s Auto Repair, 127 River Road, Chelsea; Augusta Elks Lodge, 397 Civic Center Drive; and Aladdin’s Trophy, 116 Clinton Ave., Winslow.
