Keniston to serve as AmeriCorps volunteer

Tyler Keniston of Readfield will serve as an AmeriCorps volunteer in its 2012 Trail Training Academy.

Keniston, son of Marty and Linda Keniston, is a 2006 graduate of Maranacook Community High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono, where he studied ecology and environmental science.

Keniston previously served with the Maine Conservation Corps as a team member during the 2011 season. The Trail Training Academy, which prepares team leaders for the upcoming season, runs for 10 weeks and covers numerous topics including trail layout and design, stone work, team management, timber bridge construction and more.
