Gardiner Clothes Closet offers August bargains

GARDINER -- The Clothes Closet, a service of the Randolph and Pittston united Methodist churches, will sell clothes at half off regular prices during the month of August.

There will also be a 25 cent sale, with all items sold for 25 cents, on Aug. 25.

Clothes are typically priced at $1.98 for women's and men's tops; slacks and jeans, $2.98; children's clothes, $1-2; and shoes for $1 a pair. Families that qualify for government aid can receive vouchers for free clothes.

The Clothes Closet is located in the basement of the Knights of Columbus Hall on Spring Street. Hours are 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Volunteers are welcome and donations are accepted. For more information, call Bette Seymour at 582-4624.
