Caliandro participates in Jazz All State Festival

GARDINER -- Mike Caliandro, a senior student at Gardiner Area High School, represented the school at the Jazz All State Festival held recently at Scarborough High School.

Caliandro, a drummer for one of the school's festival jazz bands, was one of the 47 instrumental jazz musicians and 30 vocal jazz musicians in the state who were accepted to the festival. The concert was recorded by MPBN and will air sometime in February or March.
