HALLOWELL — Kenneth H. Ramage and Sarah B. Ramage of Granite Hill Estates 60 Balsam Drive, Hallowell, celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on Monday, July 18th at the Senator Inn and Restaurant in Augusta Maine with their family.

They were married July 18, 1942, in Spartanburg, S.C. prior to Mr. Ramage departing for England with the 2nd Division 38th Infantry.

After the war, Mr. Ramage worked for the United Paper Makers and Papers Workers Union AFL-CIO for 33 years. They lived in Bethel, Maine on Paradise Road for 42 years before moving to Granite Hill Estates, Hallowell in 2008.

They have two sons, Richard H. Ramage and wife Gail of Arcadia, Calif. and Timothy J. Ramage and wife Jill of Chelsea, ME; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, Kristin Nelson and husband William of Yorba Linda, Calif., their son Kenneth and daughter Emily; Rick Ramage and wife Christa, their daughters Caitlin and Abby of Bedford, N.Y.; Scott Ramage and wife Caity, their daughter Ashley and son Reilly of Fuquay Varina, N.C.; Heidi Barnes and husband Chris, their daughter Sidney and son Jack of Yorba Linda, Calif.; Shawn Ramage and wife Nikki, their son Johnathan and daughter Courtney of Chelsea, ME; and Christopher Ramage and soon to be wife Susie of Gardiner, ME.
