Sanders, Hoke

MOUNT VERNON -- Daphne and David Sanders of Mt. Vernon are excited to announce the engagement of their daughter, Abigail, to Thomas Hoke, son of Penny Hoke and the late Tim Hoke of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Abbi is a 2001 graduate of Maranacook High School and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin American Studies from Middlebury College (Middlebury, Vt.) in 2005. She is currently beginning her last year of medical school at Dartmouth Medical School (Hanover, N.H.).

Tom is a 1999 graduate of Air Academy High School (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and received a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science from the University of Puget Sound (Tacoma, Wash.) in 2003. He, too, is pursuing his medical degree at Dartmouth Medical School.

Abbi and Tom met at medical school and plan to become family doctors after their graduation from medical school. The couple will be married on August 28th, 2010 in Mt. Vernon beside Minnehonk Lake. They currently live in Etna, N.H. with their cat, Owl.
