Irma, Malcolm Swain

NORRIDGEWOCK -- The children of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm H. Swain honored their parents with a 50th wedding anniversary celebration at the home of their daughter in East Madison on August 27, 2011. They were joined in celebration with 80+ friends and family members on a beautiful summer day.

Malcolm and the former Irma Moody were married August 26, 1961, in Skowhegan. After his discharge from the Army, Malcolm and Irma returned home to Maine from Texas.

He returned to working in the woods and Irma has been a full-time homemaker.

Together they have raised six children, Mary, Carol, Deanna, Kelly, Tami and Marc, and added five sons-in-law and one daughter-in-law. They also have 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and another on the way.

Guests attended from Portland, Casco, Old Orchard Beach and Florida.
