Chick,Speed

SOUTH THOMASTON -- Rosanne Woollett of South Thomaston and Stephen Chick of West Gardiner have announced the engagement of their daughter, Gretchen Chick, formerly of Gardiner, Maine, of Washington, D.C. to Nathan Speed of Washington, D.C., son of Janice Speed of Keene, N.H. and Robert Speed of Winchendon, Mass.

Gretchen is a 2000 graduate of Gardiner Area High School, earned a bachelor of science degree in 2004 from Brandeis University, Boston, and graduated in 2008 from the Nursing Program at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science. She is a Registered Nurse at the Georgetown University Student Health Clinic in Washington, D.C. In the fall, she plans on attending Northeastern University in Boston in the NP program.

Nathan is a 2000 graduate of Murdock High School in Winchendon, Mass., a 2004 graduate of Brandeis University, Boston, and a 2007 graduate of Boston University Law School. He is a Law Clerk for a federal judge in Washington, D.C.

A January 15, 2011, wedding is planned in Jamaica.
