AUGUSTA -- Ruth Brennan of Augusta and Jim Brennan of Chelsea have announced the engagement of their daughter, Tara Brennan of Longmeadow, Mass. to Greg Howe of Longmeadow, Mass., son of Bob and Marty Howe of Shrewsbury, Mass.

Tara earned a master's degree in Tax from Bentley University in Waltham, Mass. and a bachelor of science degree in Accounting from Stonehill College in Easton, Mass. She is a CPA for Ernst and Young Public Accounting in Hartford, Conn.

Greg earned master's and bachelor's degrees in Accounting from Bentley University in Waltham, Mass. He is a Federal Internal Revenue Service Agent for the U.S. Government in Springfield, Mass.

A March, 2011, wedding is planned.
