Cony High School's Amy Jones and Skowhegan Area High School's Becca McCarty were awarded scholarships from the Maine Amateur Softball Association.
Maine ASA awarded three $600 scholarships. Kelly King of Kennebunk High School also was named a scholarship winner.
Applicants had to submit an application stating their eligibility for the scholarship and had to write an eassy on what they feel have been the benefits of participating on a Maine ASA Junior Olympic team. Applicants had to have at least one year of experience in the Maine ASA program.
