RICHMOND — Funky haircuts are becoming something of a tradition in the high school soccer playoffs. Earlier this month, staff writer Gary Hawkins wrote about the Maranacook boys soccer team getting wild hair cuts prior to their Western B quarterfinal game.
The Richmond boys soccer team sported their own funky hairdoes in Saturday's 4-2 win over Vinalhaven in the Western D regional semifinals.
Randy Moody had a mohawk, plus a bobcat shaved into the back of his head and colored maroon. Evan Esancy had a mohawk with stars shaved into his head (one on each side, one in the back).
Center fullback Kade Strout gets the award for wildest hair though. Strout had a tall silver mohawk with maroon stripes shaved up and down his head.
