The Bangor Rams were voted the No. 1 football team in the state by a panel of sports writers and staff at the Kennebec Journal/Morning Sentinel.
The Rams led the poll with 73 points, including three first-place votes. Bangor was one of four teams, along with Cheverus, Thornton and Bonny Eagle to receive first-place votes.
