As I talk to people about the governor's race, many of them say they just don't have enough information on all of the candidates who will be on the June 8 ballot.
Of course, I refer them to the elections page on our Web site, which grows every day with new information. You can watch the candidates interact with member of our editorial board as they try to convince the newspapers to endorse them. We've also hosted live debates for both Republicans and Democrats with our media partner, WGME-TV 13.
And, the candidates are participating in live chats, usually around noon, on the day we run profiles about them.
But there's nothing like seeing and hearing the candidates in action, so I decided to check out other opportunities for the public to watch the candidates.
From what I can gather, the next televised debate will be May 27, when Maine Public Broadcasting will host the Republicans at 8 p.m.
After that, June 1 will be the next chance when WMTW-TV 8 hosts a live GOP debate from 7-8 p.m.
The next night, June 2, WMTW-TV 8 hosts a live Democratic debate from 7-8 p.m. That same night, WCSH-TV 6 will air taped debates for Democrats and Republicans between 8-10 p.m.
On June 3, Maine Public Broadcasting hosts a live Democratic debate from 8-9 p.m.
If I've missed one, post it below or shoot me an e-mail.
