FARMINGTON -- Mt. Blue High School graduate Joe Staples has been named the head coach of the mens' and women's cross country at the University of Maine at Farmington, according to a press release from the school.

Staples, a 2010 graduate of the University of Maine, replaces Sarah Doscinski, who stepped down recently.

Staples was an assistant coach at UMF last fall. He also served as an assistant coach at Mt. Blue in 2012, according to the press release.
