Castleton State College received seven first-place votes and has been chosen the preseason favorite to win the North Atlantic Conference field hockey title in a poll of the conference’s coaches.

The Spartans went 9-0 during the regular season last fall before being upset in the conference tournament. They return nine starters, including reigning conference player of the eyar Rachel Preusser.
Three-time defending champ Husson University received the other three first-place votes and 91total points to finished second.

New England College was picked third, while the University of Maine at Farmington was fourth. Thomas College was picked to finished seventh.
