WATERVILLE — Mikkail Crockwell, a sophomore goalie on the Thomas College men's soccer team, has been called up to play for Bermuda in a World Cup qualifier tonight against Guyana.
Crockwell, of St. David's Bermuda, has played in 11 games for Thomas this season. He is 7-4-0 with a 2.3 goals against average. As a freshman, he played in 17 games for the Terriers and was named to the North Atlantic Conference first team. According to Jamaica Observer, Crockwell will back up goalie Freddy Hall. The move is necessary because back up goalie Tajh Bell received a red card in Bermuda's match against Trinidad and Tobago on Friday. Bermuda and Guyana play at the National Sports Center in Hamilton, Bermuda at 8 p.m. tonight. Bermuda is third in Group B.
