MANCHESTER — Motorists should expect delays, and take alternate routes if possible, on Prescott Road and Pelton Hill Road Thursday and Friday and early next week.
The surfaces of the two Manchester roads will be ground up and graded Thursday and Friday as the roads are rebuilt.
Then next week, on Tuesday and possibly Wednesday too, the project will be resumed as the roads are paved.
Pike Industries is doing the $145,000 project, according to Town Manager Mark Doyon.
The work will take place on Pelton Hill Road and about 5,700 feet of Prescott Road, from the Manchester town line to Friendship Drive.
Doyon said at least one lane of traffic will be maintained but motorists should expect delays due to the construction. He said those who can should take alternate routes.
Work is expected to start at 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
